Purple Tongue Hot Sauce is a small batch hot sauce company based in Ontario. This fiery, Canadian company specializes in making flavourful Carolina Reaper and Ghost Pepper blended hot sauces, and is named for owner Michael Corvese’s dog. Yes, the lovely white dog really does have a purple tongue!
A long-time hot pepper enthusiast, Mr. Corvese got serious about creating his own brand of hot sauce after COVID shutdowns caused the loss of an existing family business.
“ I used the downtime to expand my garden and in doing so, added several more hot pepper plants to the mix. By the end of the summer I had created so many sauces that I needed labels to identify what was what…cue in Avery labels!”
Their hottest sauce is the Atulfo Mango blend, with the Cilantro Lime and Honey Garlic blends not far behind. In fact, Corvese’s Honey Garlic hot sauce took home the Best Hot award and was crowned King of Sauces at Ottawa’s Heating up the Capital event this past September! So, if you love spicy food or are looking for the perfect holiday gift for someone who likes to feel the heat, these sauces are definitely for you!
Purple Tongue Hot Sauce launched their products using Avery 2 ½” Glossy White Round Labels for their bottles, and moved on to applying them to customer bags and their new gift boxes. They’ve even been known to use the round labels as sticker giveaways to kids at local farmers markets.
