Applying Your Label Design to Cards

Use this one simple tip to give cards and labels a unified look!

Whether you want to upgrade your small business branding, are planning a promotion, or simply want to use a particular label design on your cards, creating personalized cards in Avery’s Design & Print Online tool has never been easier. Here are two quick and easy ways to give your cards the look you love!

Apply the Same Design to Multiple Products

Have you already designed a label you love and want to apply the same design or elements of that design to business cards, note cards, tags, and more? Here is how to do it:

Step 1: Save your personalized label design to your Avery account.

Step 2: Click the Change Template link in the top left corner of your Design & Print window.

Step 3: Select Keep Design from the dialogue box, as shown below:

Step 4: Select your card or other product from the menu.

Step 5: Edit as Desired.

Transfer a Design to a Different Product

When exploring Avery’s Design & Print online tool, you may discover a few designs that are for use with some types of products but not all. This is merely a suggestion for the design’s optimal use. If you really like the design (or elements of the design) there is still a way that you can apply it to your project, even if that design is not associated with the product number.

Step 1: Locate the design you would like to transfer in the Design & Print Online tool.

Step 2: Select the design and click Customize Design, as shown below:

Step 3: Select Change Template from the top lefthand corner of the Design & Print Online screen.

Step 4: Click Do Not Save Project.

Step 5: Click Keep Design, as shown below:

Step 6: Choose the new template you would like to apply the design to.

Step 7: Personalize!
